1859 Walch Navy

This is another interesting gun that was used in Louis L'Amour book Lando.

It has two Triggers, Hammers, and is a Twelve Shot

I have read there where only about 200 or so made so it is an extreamly rare gun,
none the less thought it was interesting

Michale Sharra Books

Years ago I read The Killer Angles by Jeff Sharra and I was hooked. I learned that his son wrote books about the Civil War and I soon became hooked. I think he is an amazing author I love the way he writes his books. He has written many books; from the Revolutionary War to WW2. I almost have all his books now I am only missing one. Even thought they are Historical fiction books they are still a good read and have many historical facts in them.

Lorenzoni Pistol

Recently I have been listening to many audio books. I started to listen to the Sackett series by Louis L'Amour, I am on the fourth book in the series; Jubal Sackett. In the book he mentions a Lorenzoni Pistol, never hearing of this firearm before I googled it. It is a seven shot "muzzleloader" flintlock pistol. But its not really a muzzleloader at all. It has a powder magazine and a place to put balls and it "loads" priming the pan and all by moving a lever back and forth. Its hard to explain so here is a video of it.

The patent date for this gun according to a book I found is March 6, 1664
Its amazing to me simply ahead of its time! I love how Louis L'Amour puts this interesting guns in his books. And in the books he is fighting Indians with it. The Indians would think whoever owned this gun had "powerful magic" because it could be fired so quickly, and the Indians would have never say anything like it at the time it was created because it was a good many years before the revolver came about.
Thought it was just an interesting find!
